Yes,
Still no SATA support in the chip architecture.

Same situation with the ODROID which is more powerful than the RPi
https://odroidinc.com/collections/odroid-single-board-computers

I have found a couple of single-board computers with SATA support, but they are more expensive:

armStone A9:

A20-OLinuXino-LIME2:

if that excites you then...

Asus Tinker Board, The difference, 1800mhz, 2gb ram and gigabit ethernet all in the same form and size.
Rumor has it the chip will overclock to 2.2ghz is your power supply is up to it.

Since I have one and A 3b+ I can say the speed difference is significant.  I run it as a laptop and the 2gb ram
was sorely needed for some aps.

They must be doing something right, according to Wikipedia around 19 million have been sold. Low cost, low power consumption, easy to use, what is not to like?

I use one for a D-Star hotspot and am looking to run another as a logging computer to minimise power consumption in the shack when just listening on one of the QRP frequencies. In the case of the hotspot, the Pi-Star software is vastly superior to anything I’ve seen for Windows and the dongle/Pi draws just 4 Watts of power from the mains.

I have the Model B+, and the Pi Zero original version. That one is mounted on a 4-spot USB dock and runs headless.

I replaced a 500 Watt P 4 monster with a pi.

15 watts vs 500 watts was a 35 dollar a month savings on my power bill.

Seriously.  My bill is fairly static, and the pi running as my dlna server, squid box, 4tb samba box and my home theater PC, as well as my desktop.

Just switched a kid to the pi.  Loses a monitor and a 360 Watt desktop.

For a 15 Watt USB device.

Yes, please!
