What's this 220 duplexer worth ?
« on: April 02, 2018, 10:44:58 AM »

I recently purchased a bunch of gear (storage sale) and one item appears to be a 220 mhz 5 can duplexer. Basically I'm going to try to sell at Dayton and wanted an idea of what it might be worth . I didn't see any labels on the cans just 220 mhz frequency mark on the celwave circulatory isolator model 720160. It is installed in a large Motorola rack type box. One can does have a couple dents and appear to be about 17 in tall. I'm not wanting folks to bid on anything just suggestions on a fair price to list.  I'm having issues posting pics and can email them to anyone that can help

Like anything, something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.  That being said I sold a "nice" 2M duplexer last year.  New price was close to $1500, "ebay price" was around $600.  After schlepping it to several hamfests and having numerous tire kickers, I finally let it go for $350.  Probably could've gotten more online but did not want to deal with shipping such a large heavy item.  Dayton has it's own price strategy, starting high Friday and ending low Sunday, and depending on whether you're willing to take it back home if you don't get your price.

Seems there aren't many repeater builders around anymore so you just have to find the right guy.  Being 220 limits your audience by quite a bit but if you're going to find that one guy, your odds of finding him probably aren't better than at Dayton.

Was that with or without the Isolators ? By set would that be 5 ?
Im wondering if selling the isolators seperate would be better?

It was 4 cans.  I don't remember if it had isolators.  I've been to bed since then.

It appears you may have selected the wrong choice when trying to insert a picture.
1st unsuccessful insert shows...            [/img]

You should be selecting the 1st icon from the 2nd row displaying a HELP message saying "Insert Image"
It's right under the Bold Letter "B" icon.

Goto SITE TALK Forum to review Need "Insert Photo Instructions....Again! Topic at
 https://www.eham.net/ehamforum/smf/index.php/topic,96198.0.html

Looking at your 2nd unsuccessful image insert, if done correctly the        [imghttp://                   ]http://[/img]

should NOT appear when the image is inserted correctly.  Using the "Preview" choice before actually doing "POST" your response and you'll see the image should be properly displayed.

See how the eHam.Net image looks here...

Try again - your almost there.

That looks more like a combiner than a duplexer.
