I resently purchased a Swan 1200X amp and it has the factory 8950 sweep tubes and I would like to modify it to use 6KD6 tubes, I've searched the net and can't find how to do the mod. anywhere, can anyone here steer me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

Suggest you search for mod to replace 8950 with EL509/6KG6 instead; that's been written up in many places and is close to a drop-in replacement.
