I wonder if she will make me breakfast in the morning after turning her knobs?

This transverter is known to be one of the best options for getting on 630 meters. The 2200 version is reported to have similar performance.
I know of at least 10 stations that started using either homebrew transverters, kits or others. Eventually they purchased the Monitor Sensors 630 meter transverter. All wish they had started 630 operations with this transverter.
They will be releasing a 500 watts amplifier for 630 meters, it will use the same output FETs (just more of them) that the transverter uses. B4 you ask why 500 watts? It is the TPO allowed by the FCC. Getting to 5 watts EIRP with a poor antenna may require an amplifier with this TPO.

Agree with Bill, other than lacking a built-in RX antenna port and associated T/R switching, the TVTR1 is a top of the line transverter.  The mixer they use is the same as in the Elecraft K3.  Sensitivity is a bit less than say a K3S running natively on 630m (and presumably a TS-590 which gets great reviews for it's LF/MF RX), but that's usually not an issue for all but very quiet rural locations.  Anyone who blows it up should get a prize.  It's got enough protection features to make it basically indestructible.
