Has anyone used the Icom RS-BA1 software with the Icom 706 series of radios? If it does interface ok, what can and can't it control on the 706?

The Icom specifications and Instruction manual are at
http://www.icomamerica.com/en/products/amateur/hf/rsba1/specifications.aspx
It appears that it has to be an Icom radio with an ethernet connector or a USB connector.
I think that leaves out the 706.

Thanks for the reply, but if you look at the brochure for the RS-BA1 it shows that it works with the Icom 7000, Icom 756PROIII and the 746PRO. None of these have USB or ethernet jacks, just the CI-V jack.

The 7000, 756P3, 746pro all have CI-V REMOTE CONTROL JACKS.
You will need other interface items in order to do what you wish and it might get a bit messy.
