ARRL good deed
« on: December 27, 2018, 07:56:29 AM »

I recently renewed my ARRL membership and one day after I mailed the check I got an offer for a free book with my renewal. While I don't need it I noticed they were offering a copy of the Extra Class License Manual and I have a nephew who is a General. I called and spoke to the nice lady in membership and told her about missing the opportunity and she said "No Problem". She said as soon as she received my renewal she would send one out, and she DID. I have forwarded the book to my nephew so he can study for his upgrade. I think it was nice of her and the ARRL to do that.

I ordered a book from ARRL a while back and received the wrong one in the mail.  I called and told them about the mistake and offered to return the book in exchange for the one I ordered.  The ARRL rep apologized for the problem, told me to keep the book I received, and that she would send the correct on to me, which she did.  Also, I had a minor issue with LoTW and sent an e-mail.  The e-mail was answered promptly, and the error was corrected.

So, my experience with the folks at ARRL has been positive as well.
