I am trying to tweak my APRSDroid setting so that every 90 degree turn I make in town gets picked up if I drive, bike or walk.

Right now, as I drive only the first few points at the start and end are getting sent when I drive.  So I have something wrong with the settings to send a packet.

I am using the cell phone GPS and SmartBeaconing.

Thanks in advance for your recommendations.

I recall an APRSdroid FAQ saying that such settings are presently fixed and not alterable as in other hardware and apps.

The current version lets one change the speed at which High Speed starts and Low speed ends and how long the pause is between packets.

Some of the Corner Pegging settings are also changeable.

I think part of the issue is my Android OS "shutting off" the app when the screen closes to save battery. I.E. Screen Not Active = No Packets Sent.

Is the Google Play version the same as the GIT Hub version?

Following up.............

The latest Droid OS (on my new phone) shuts off the app when the screen is shut down to save battery.

After opting to keep APRSDroid active in it's preferences, I am sending out packets right and left now.
