FW5JG is his new call sign. No luck here so far, but I did hear him once very briefly calling CQ on 20m FT8. He must have gone QRT shortly after. I'll keep trying.

I noticed him on yesterday. I took a look and I could use FW on a couple of bands so I'll keep an eye out!

Managed to snag him on 17 and 15 ssb last night. He really has some ears that is for sure.

I was listening now on 20m FT8 for about an hour and a half and I only heard one single transmission at -24dB. Then he QSY'd to SSB and I could hear him very very weak. I called him and as a miracle his signal went up to about 53, just to allow me to make a very quick QSO, then his signal went down again. This was my third day chasing him on 20m. I spent each day about three hours on him. I'm glad it's over.  ;D

Just got him on 20 SSB with my dipole at 35 feet. Big pileup tonight!

Nice signal, not strong but workable  Hope Noby has fun while doing the DX side of things...

FW5JG sometimes seems to be on FT8 as a fox during the odd (15/45) time intervals.  Shouldn't he be on the even (00/30) times?  My hound mode defaults to odd (15/45).

I saw that too. I finally worked him by getting out of hound mode and shifted freq manually.
not ideal, but put him in the log.

I'm not at my radio at the moment, so I cannot check this, but doesn't the software automatically adjust the correct time interval when you double-click the station you want to call? I think it does, even in the FH mode, doesn't it? This should be a non-issue I think, or am I missing something here? But I did notice some stations calling FW5JG while FW5JG was transmitting and I wondered why they were doing it.

I noticed him spotted on 40 this morning but that was many hours after he was there. That's definitely a band I could use FW on.. I'll start looking around the posted time.  ;)

that didn't work for me at all. I was at it for more than a half an hour. When I switched modes it took  five minutes at the most to get him. and yes, he was in fox mode....

I don't claim to be well educated in the use of the software, I may not have it set up right but this is the first time I've encountered this situation.

Ray, I think you are correct. I just briefly tested it, and it does appear that WSJTX in the FH mode doesn't change the time setting (even vs. odd) no matter if I double-click on a station who is transmitting in the even or the odd time slot. I never paid attention to this in previous versions so I don't know if it's just this RC version, or if it is this way by design. It's an interesting observation. Thanks for bringing it up guys. I will certainly keep an eye on this next time I call someone in the FH mode.
