Paying a few bucks more for a MD-380G brings a radio with GPS + a 1- or 2-page addendum for the User's guide.
What's Not clear is how a 2nd MD-380 (must if be a G model?) - in the shack - can pass a received GPS location to an APRS-app'n running on a computer, in the same room?
(A recent post mentions a DMR server... (possibly by a Ham?) Could that be the missing piece of this puzzle?)
