My kids are sort of "Late Bloomers"... I'm told by others that this is "normal" nowadays for this generation.
And it's hard for me to wrap my head around the concept. I was established at 17-18 years old,
and by the end of University I was in pretty good shape. While it did take me five years to get a four year degree, I didn't owe anything when I graduated.
My money went MUCH further than it does now, relatively speaking
On $250/Month circa 1980, I wasn't exactly farting through silk, but could keep an old car going,
pay rent, and still have generic beer and pizza on the weekends....
Today, I watch every Penny.. So just annual ARRL dues, etc.
Wife says that I always DID watch every penny, nothing's changed.
