FT3D and APRS decoding performance

Hello,

I have purchased a new Yaesu FT3D. It seems that my VX-8 is better at decoding APRS than the FT3D, both side by side and using their stock antennas.

Has anyone else noticed this, or even made a comparison between the FT3D and older models?

A colleague has confirmed this. In this video he compares a FT3D and a Kenwood THD72

I have observed the same difference between a Yaesu VX-8DE and the mentioned FT3DE.
