5T2KW - Mauritania
« on: October 25, 2019, 09:06:00 AM »

They had a decent signal on 160m last night (10/25/19 02:34z).  It was sufficiently strong to copy through the lightning QRN from storms to the west and south of me here in central Louisiana.  I heard them on 80m last night as well but was not able to make contact.  I could hear him working EUs.  40m and 160m CW QSOs so far on the current dxpedition.

I had many past contacts with 5T on SSB and FT8 but surprisingly not on CW, so I was able to work him on 40m CW a few nights ago for a new CW country.

It's 6pm here, still light outside. I can hear 5T2KW on 3.521 on my 20m Yagi. 100% readable. I really should get at least a dipole for 80 or 160. All I can do now is SWL-ing on these beautiful bands.  ;D ;D ;D

I could not imagine limiting myself to ONE BAND only!

Whilst I focus on 160 m, I'm up for DX on any band when it is there, especially band fills and points for Challenge.

I managed to work 5T5PA in Nouadhibou a few months ago on 80 m. Not hearing him or Johannes at all on Low Bands now.
