TeamViewer Audio Question
« on: November 04, 2019, 10:23:28 AM »

I am trying to set up a simple way to control my K3/KPA1500 remotely.  I want to operate CW, so I need to hear the audio from the rig.  I use Win4K3Suite and N1MM+ .

I have downloaded TeamViewer (version 14) on both the computer in my shack and on my laptop (remote) computer (both computers run Windows 10).  TeamViewer works well, as long as I am in the shack and can unmute the mic directly on the shack computer.  I have been unable to unmute the shack computer mic remotely.  Is there a way to do so?

Any and all thoughts welcome!

Mike,

I also operate remotely with a K3 and Win4K3Suite.  I had been using Team Viewer but they shut down my account so I am now using Any Desk.  See my posting on Team Viewer and be prepared to replace it.

You can disable the front panel microphone with Win4K3Suite.  Go to Tools, Radio Menu Items, Mic Sel and change the mike input from front panel to rear panel.

Thanks for your thoughts.  I moved on from TeamViewer and, for anybody else contemplating a simple remote setup, I now use Chrome Remote Desktop.  It took no time to set up, and it appears to work well.  I've made over 200 QSOs using Chrome Remote Desktop, almost all of them on CW.
