Basically, how would you connect this unit between an Ameritron 811 and an Icom 7300...I know it's not needed but still, I like to be extra safe.

Are you looking for comments or do you have a Question?

My question is - why buy it if you don’t need it? It’s a simple matter to determine if it serves any purpose.

You might try re-“scouring”  for MFJ 704 instruction manual. It’s widely available on a number of web sites as a downloadable PDF.

Hint - Between output and antenna

Easy to find and easy to use between amp and antenna. If you don't need it don't use it.

If the original poster thinks this goes between radio and amp, then I would suspect maybe it is the ARB-704 amp keying interface, not a low pass filter??

Now he tells us.

Toss it as they have reliability problems and are certainly not needed for that amp anyway.

As a new AL811H owner and the owner of two IC-7300's, I can assure you that you don't need or want a keyline interface for these amps/radios.

Couple years ago when I was just setting up at my current QTH I bought one to use between xcvr and my ALS-600. After a few days...and some frustration I removed it and returned it to the vendor with a, "Why in H did I buy this useless thing"? I'm sure there are some circumstances where it might be desirable but I certainly didn't...still don't... need it. Consider: It was free. That should have told you something. ;)
