I did a quick search without finding anything on this.  If I'm missed something, please forgive me and point me in the right direction!   :)

I have a System Fusion DR-1X repeater that I've set up to be portable for event support around the local area.  I also have an FTM100-DR dual band radio that I'd like to connect to the repeater as a link into whatever "infrastructure" repeater we may need to link into for the particular event.  My problem is that I don't know how to connect the radio to the repeater.  I contacted Yaesu tech service and the particular individual who responded also didn't know.

Has anyone made this connection?  I've used many, and built one, portable repeaters with linking capability--but I don't how to do it with the DR-1X and FTM100-DR.

I appreciate any help I can get!

Hello,

Our group has a DR-1X repeater in stand alone Fusion mode and we link it via RF to an FTM100 node into the Fusion network. I presume you are NOT asking about this but wanted I to give a little background.

If you are wanting to connect the DR-1X to another radio (such as the FTM100) for an external link radio it seems you will need , at least, a basic controller that will accept the COR, TX/RX audio and PTT signals and feed them between the two.  The DR-1x has a connector at the rear that has all the signals needed to connect to an external controller.  You can , most likely , obtain the same needed signals on the FTM100 from the Data jack on the rear.

Look into the Repeater Builder website for info on controllers.
