Help with auto tuner mAT-40 and interface cable yaesu 897D
« on: November 26, 2019, 12:54:21 PM »

Hello guys, this is my first post here but I have been using this great site for some time now.  I recently purchased a mAT-40 auto tuner but the seller did not send me the proper interface cable.  Im now trying to make my own cable but wanted to hear from all the experts if I'm on the right track.  The tuner has a 7 pin connector and the manufacturer provided me with this information:

UNER DATA INTERFACE

1-  TX_GND ----- to pin 2 on yaesu radio
2-  +13.8V ----- to pin 1 on yaesu radio
3-   TX_INH ----- to pin 8 on yaesu radio
4-   DATA IN ----- to pin 4 on yaesu radio
5-   DATA OUT ---- to pin 5 on yaesu radio
6-   GND ----- to pin 3 on yaesu radio
7-   DATA IN ----- to pin 8 on yaesu radio

Can someone please let me know if this sounds correct?

Thank you very much for all the support.

I don't know if you've gotten anywhere with this from almost a year ago, but the Vibroplex company is the stateside dealer for these tuners now and could probably help you with the interface.
