Winter Es Season has started.
« on: December 04, 2019, 11:17:29 AM »

It appears the Winter Es season has started for us today here in Missouri.  The usual US and an occasional Canadian on 6 meters and of course those and the usual South Americans on 10 meters.

As you may know the winter Es season is usually weaker and shorter than the summer season.

I believe it. I participate in a 2 meter FT-8 Roundup on Monday evenings (144.174). Last Monday I logged Mexico from the DFW area using a 2 meter loop. 360 miles by QRZ calculation with 2 meters. Others did the same. 6 meters was going nuts right before that roundup started. I just switched over to 2 to play...
We are on the air 7-8 p.m. Texas time if anybody else wants to play 2 meters???
Sweet!
Ray.

I had lunch at home today and worked two dozen stations on 12 meters. Two HI8 stations. :)
