We are in Europe, mainly in UK and Holland.

Recently the ham bands on HF seems in poor condition, but these SW broadcasting stations putting out anywhere between 100 - 500 Kilo Watts on their services for SW broadcast programs means, the band condition and Sunspot cycle seems no problem for DX receiving with good signal strength at all. :)

It was hugely enjoyable because, these days we don't get the Blues or Jazz music on any of the local Radio or TV channels at all.  Most local Radio and TV channels do rap music and some new musics I couldn't connect to.

Also they are swamped with commercials, which is not great.

The Short Wave Broadcast coming from the other side of the world is free from commercials, and often the program contents are dedicate to Technical, Economic and Social issues discussions, and also the Blues and Jazz music like from NHK, which I like to listen to.
