I am trying to get the software to work with a pc connect directly to the radio via usb cable. I can get the radio to connect and the waterfall display works.  The problem is the local mic audio does not work if I press the remote button on the computer display.  This is necessary to use the mouse and computer to control the radio.  Turn remote button off and the mic connected to the front of the radio works fine.  A friend has ver. 1 and it works ok.  I copied his settings in the radio but no success.  Another 7300 owner with ver. 2 has the same problem.  Anyone have a suggestion on how to eliminate the problem or is this something that has arisen with ver. 2 only?  Thank you for any help. I don't have the software, but I am confused as to why you think it is a problem?  it would seem to be normal operation to me.  Why would you want the local microphone to work when you have the remote software engaged. By my way of thinking it should NOT work.  What is your thinking on this?
