Good work, Gil. I will suggest that preppers can obtain important training and exercising by participating in Emcomm groups and drills. How long does that battery last? How does this antenna work in different locations. I suggest preppers embrace Emcomm and when the ballon goes up, make your own decisions.

Something preppers might want to consider in a war/WORL scenario is the liability that the radio might represent. The first thing major powers did in World War II was to seize or shut down radios and those authorities still exist. Just having a receiver was a crime. A PTT switch just tells bad guys where you are. Bad guys might not just be governmental or military.

Hello. Living in France I can attest to that. The lifespan of a radio operator was measured in weeks... I definitely agree on the benefits both can get from each-other.
