I had a SignaLink+ for a long time (the old one before usb), I think it crapped out, anyhow, I'm directly driving my soundcard from the ACC2 audio out, feeding the sound card 'speaker' (line out) through a 30dB pad into the front panel mic input and controlling the TX with the CAT.
When I was using the SL, I controlled the TX with the SL audio derived PTT into the ACC2 and fed the audio through the SL into the ACC2 audio in.
Is there any way to control the ACC2 PTT from the CAT? I like the way the CAT turns the TX on before the audio goes into the mic and the audio goes off before the TX goes off. With the SL, it was essentially an external VOX. Now realize that the ACC2 audio input only works when the ACC2 PTT (pin 9) is grounded, which also disables the mic input.
I'm also finding I'm getting better results directly driving/listening to the sound card. I use a single point ground system for the rig(s) and the computer, so there appears to be no ground loop/rfi issues which I did have with the SL. I did try isolating the audio with a transformer and all that did was reduce the in/out levels.
So I'm not unhappy with the way it's working, but if I could get all the dig in/out stuff at the back of the TS2000 it would be a neater proposition. I'd even be willing to build a small circuit for the CAT to ACC2 PTT. Or maybe even RTS/DTR?
