Stealthy antenna stays hidden
« on: April 17, 2020, 05:15:36 AM »

Our HOA recently sent a team of contracted inspectors to do a 360 degree examination of all the houses in the community. I thought they’d catch my end fed line in the back of the house.  But, hooray, they didn’t see it. Now if only the bands improve maybe I can make a few contacts. The only complaint was moss growing on our chimney. That is a bit ridiculous don’t ya think.  Some of the neighbors were told that their roofs were dirty. Power corrupts!

If they saw the moss (mold?) on your roof or chimney, it’s likely they didn’t miss the wire but probably didn’t care about it.

Not this HOA. If they saw it I’d be in trouble with them. They complain about trees being to large in relation to a house.

Guess you need to add a few rooms to the house!

K0UA... STOP following me/getting there ahead of me!  I'm cruising eHam.net forums and every time I find a post of interest I see your comments.  Its weird.  I guess it's the combination of similar interests,  boredom while sheltering in place during the Trumpedemic and lousy band conditions.

Is there some requirement for the inspections written into the HOA rules?  Because if there isn't, I would have let them on the property.

Wow.  And I thought all the stories of the nosy neighbor with nothing better to do were bad...

I don't suppose it would be worth asking, at the next HOA meeting (if you're allowed to ask questions, of course) what this cost the members?  Or would that be rocking the boat a little too much for comfort?

It's likely the inspectors were there to benchmark existing conditions because the HOA was changing liability insurance carriers, saving residents some money on assessments.  Dirty roofs usually mean the HOA hasn't been trimming back the tree branches enough, which leads to a costly roof replacement.

Conspiracy theories and sinister motives are entertaining.  Reasonable explanations are just boring. :)

Is this a condo complex with common property or individual homes/buildings on private property?

You're lucky!  Maybe they didn't realize it was actually an antenna. Was there any notice given in the mail or newsletter that this would be coming?

That's what they WANT you to think!  See, the HOAs have been taken over by the Grays from Planet Gamma-Gamma-Three, and they've hired the Knights Templar to spread HOA-compliance thought-control chemicals via contrails, and also to beam them into your head via television ads.  The phrase "But wait!  Don't order yet!" is a deep-state hypnotic command that makes you think the world isn't really flat!  Most people who understand how these shadow one-world conspirators know to block the mind-control beams by wearing a nice tinfoil helmet.  You can find instructions for this all over the web.
