Excellent customer service from DX Engineering

A few weeks ago I ordered an Icom ID-51A +2 D-star HT from DXE and last week I ordered a Heil HTH headset for it. Got the headset on 4/24/2020, tested it and it must be miswired as there is no audio out. I have a pair of stereo headphones with the same size plug and when I plug that in there is audio out. When you hit PTT on the headset the radio the VFO goes crazy and the PTT does not key the radio. I went in the menu and the radio is configured correctly.

I sent the above info to them on, 4/26/2020. Got an email from them on 4/27/2020 stating; "Sorry you had trouble with the headset. We have had a few others with the same problem.  Be sure to have the radio off anytime you plug in or remove the headset. That is not the reason you are having trouble but it is does help prevent the pins from possible shorting out the jack. It is not cost effective for us to send a return label so please discard the defective head set.  A replacement will be shipped today or tomorrow.  You will receive an order confirmation but you are not being charged."

Got another email on 4/28/2020 with the UPS tracking number of the new headset.

I am very pleased with them. There was no arguing, no drama, nothing, just them fixing a customers issue.

I'd sure like to get my hands on the 7300 I bought!!! Just wanted to let you know that I just bought a 7300 at DX Engineering @ 3:00AM this morning for $899.xx, charged transaction to my VISA! Now at 10:00AM I get a call from DXE saying ICOM won't let them honor the sale! I said then let ICOM know that the 7300 was my second ICOM HF Base purchase from you (and them), previously having purchased a new 7200. They said sorry, but they can't fulfill the transaction!!! I said...well, you're not yet sorry enough! I'll rate the product higher if the marketing and sales folks can just get their heads on right and deliver it as purchased.
