OP

As I type this reply I am looking at PSK Reporter.  There are stations working JA's on 6m FT8 from MN.

The main 6 meter dx cluster is at    http://www.on4kst.com, here you will need to register after which you will receive a login account. This dx cluster chat page is where you will find 99 percent of the worldwide 6 meter dx operators.   PSK reporter is where you will be able to observe in real time openings which the majority will be on 50.313 MHz using FT8.    Psk reporter  http://HTTPS://pskreporter.com

AND to further amplify on PSK reporter, it takes a bit to understand what to do and what you are seeing over there.
For example :  On 6 meters show signals sent by the callsign K0UA using FT8 in the last 15 minuets   GO.

The fields in italics are pull down boxes and the one fill in box for the callsign of your choice.   This can show you how well you are "getting out" in the world and how loud they are hearing you.

BUT another good search would be something like this:  On 6 meters show signals rcvd by A61XX using FT8 over the last 30 minutes (lets say) GO  This will let you know how well A61XX i hearing possibly you, and others around you, if at all.

Of course this is predicated on the fact that A61XX reports to PSK reporter.  Many do but some do not. It is a checkbox in WSJT-x but you have to turn it on and I would suggest you do. To help others.   It will still show how well A61XX is being heard around the world, but if he doesn't report, then you cannot know how well he hears others.

It is a good near real-time propagation tool and it can really help you. Or Squash your ego if you are prone to such things.  :)

Here is a just now (20:54z) post of my transmitting ft8 on 15 meters with 100 watts chasing RT2F
and a snapshot in time to where my signal is going.

And a couple of minutes later here is RT2F  transmit coverage worldwide. If you loiter on any of the balloons it will tell you who and how well they received him.  He does not post to PSK reporter so we cannot see that.

And this screen shot shows what I am hearing at K0UA and each little balloon represents a station I am hearing, and I loitered on one and the popup box gives the details.  The "pink blob" shows the general direction that most of the signals were received from at my station.

And I am guessing that is enough for now, and maybe far more than you wanted or care about. :)

2020 post.
However, 6m is a magic band.  Hope you are catching some of the recent openings!
