There are lots of QRP (5Watt) CW transceivers for very reasonable prices. Google "QRP transceivers".

There are some very fine older rigs to be had that give great comparison to many of today's newest transceivers but IMHO keeping them on the air might be very challenging when that time does come. Consider both parts availability and one's ability to make needed repairs or to find a good repair shop. A few years back faced with those choices I sold my TS-830S to help buy a TS-590S and have not looked back - both are fine radios no question there just a question of what meets my needs now.

Perhaps you could find a QRPer who likes to build QRP kits that needs space more than another QRP rig.

Go get an RG ONE from Boris in Bulgaria, you will not regret it amazing radio with incredible performance it is a modern day Ten Tec.

The two radios the OP is considering are 100 watt rigs.
The RG ONE is only 50 watts.
