Modifying Cushcraft 148-20T x - yagi
« on: September 13, 2020, 05:24:07 AM »

I am trying to reduce the length of this yagi by half.  I want to use it for satellite. The current antenna is too long for my space, so at half the length it will be fine.  The big question is how to properly cut the elements to the correct length. Obviously 10 of the elements are going to be eliminated.  Since this is a crossed Yagi, I want to get the 5 elements in each plane the right length to get a decent SWR.  Any ideas?

made a mistake.  The antenna is a 22XB  Oscar Boomer.  Big antenna...22 elements.  I am not going to modify this antenna. I will have to build a new 2m antenna for the LEO satellites
