Emergency Preparedness nets in AZ?
« on: September 23, 2020, 10:29:05 AM »

I hope I am not off-forum-topic, but I am in southern AZ looking for nets or regular on-air check-ins concerning emergency preparedness, warnings, reporting, etc. At this time I am not able to join ARES or RACES or anything along those lines, but I want to participate in a group that checks-in in the scenario where something may happen.
I looked up a list of nets from a local club, but i did not hear anyone on the 2 ones I checked in and I'm not sure if they're even still active.
If there is also something on HF I would be interested in that as well.

The Arizona Section should have a Section Emergency Coordinator.  I'd start there.

Try Sending off an email to Morgan, ww7b, QRZ-com has his email but if you can't see it on qrz then it's his call ww7b at arrl.net, all lower case letters and he will probably give you all the info that you need.
