I've sent 2 emails and placed a phone call with no response from Ultimax Antennas.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a reasonable priced End Fed antenna? My max power is 100 watts, I have a wide range antenna tuner.

I am limited by my HOA to antenna height. I can get up to 10-11 feet with out having the HOA police knock on the door

I have room for a 60 foot length

Thanks
Steve

Consider 'MyAntennas'.  They make a wide variety of EFLW antennas.

MyAntennas.com: Nice antennas but at $150. a little to much $ for me.

Thanks

Well, the other Dave was first but if you're interested, I am in Tucson and have a brand new, never used, Ultimax 100, 60 footer I bought before we moved out here.  Hard to hang a wire on a saguaro, so I went with a vertical! 73,

Guess we’ve reached the point people can’t build a simple wire antenna.

It's an end fed antenna with 9:1 un-un installed in a metal housing. At 80 years old I am not good at drilling holes in metal.

Plus my son-in-law (not a ham) puts up my antennas.

You need to ask questions first before making comments.

No problem, glad to help.  At 71, I like keeping my feet on terra firma as well.

Be safe, 73,

Or you could explain that rather than get defensive. Regardless, any sealed (plastic) box would suffice.

Wow.  Two separate threads claiming that Ultimax is out of business...

You could have mentioned that the owner replied to you in the other thread, and that the company is still in business...

sorry my error for not correcting the second thread

However I did not say they were out of business.  Re-read what I said.

I thought they may be  out because of no communications after 4 days.

2 emails and a phone call unanswered, not a way to operate a small business

Yes I have run a small business and always immediately answered the phone or returned the call within an hour at most. And emails answered within hours.

Oh?  Did you not put in the title of the other thread that they MAY be out of business, and strongly suggest as such in the text?

Yes, I re-read what you said.  In BOTH threads.

With all due respect... you appeared to have flown off the proverbial handle because you didn’t get as fast a response as you anticipated... which happens... and ended up maligning a small business unjustly... which should not.

You owe the man and his company an apology.  In both threads.  IMHO.
