kenwood TR751A programming
« on: October 23, 2020, 01:27:15 PM »

Hi
I acquired a TR751A and it works  with the exception of I can't seem to program a repeater. I downloaded a manual and  I can't make sense of how this is supposed to be done. When I try to add  to memory . it doesn't  stay.
I can't add the picture here for some reason regarding the manual's instruction .
Thanks for the help
Chris

The memory battery needs replacement.

I got an answer back from VK land that perfectly  described the actual procedure. It isn't the battery , however that might be a good idea to replace.
I wasn't  doing the right combination of key entries and  now  I have 4 repeaters in memory and the  FM simplex frequency . All seems to be good. I can't wait to work some SSB on it with what limited resources I have.

I had a TR751A and it was my favorite radio.  I regret selling it.  I worked I think it was AO-7 on 2M SSB up and 10M SSB down.
