Thanksgiving sunspot and sfi up to 106! Link to story
« on: November 27, 2020, 10:54:21 AM »

Well how cool is this. Big sunspot showed up Thanksgiving and now the day after the SFI has cranked itself up to 106 so far. Best number it looks like in the 4 years I've been watching this stuff I think. Or close.
One of my favorite web sites (besides this one of course) even posted it as a story https://www.space.com/thanksgiving-sun-sunspot-treat-2020
So that was a surprise to read. Going to get on 20M and bark some cq's today and see where it goes.
Also for a great weekly space weather forecast that's geared towards hams try www.spaceweatherwomen.com  Tamitha is awesome with her info and presents it in a fun, professional  and exciting way on her videos. She has them all archived on her youtube channel along with classes she's taught, presentations she's given hams etc. Check her info out... she's awesome.  My wife, who has no real interest in this stuff, enjoys watching and listening to her video forecasts. "New sunspots Bam Bam Bam" my wife says sometimes trying to mimic Tamitha:) Oh and her always eloquent use of the word "pharting" to describe some solar activity or another always gets a chuckle.
Catch ya on the air
