Almost did something that would have cause lots of grief. Had a $300 order in the cart ready to pull the trigger but a minor question came up. I sent an email with my question and never received a reply. I then picked up the phone called and left a message and nothing. Curious I looked at this company's reviews. Glad I did as it seems that simple customer service such as returning phone calls or replying to emails is non-existent. Many complained that prompt shipping is not one of their strong points and you might just have to wait in silence and receive your items when the owner decides to send them to you. Of course, I did not place my order with them or wasted my time trying to contact this company.

I didn't realize they were still in business. I thought they had folded up some time ago.   HRO communicates well.

Are you talking about " Amateur Radio Supply "   OR  " Amateur Radio Supplies " ?     Amateur Radio Supply went out of business four years ago.

Are you guys actually referring to "Amateur Electronic Supply" or "AES", that was headquartered in Milwaukee? They closed in summer 2016.

HRO never communicated with me, I had an order in for a Lab599 Tx500 sent them several emails over a period of time did not hear back once, I asked for my money to be returned still no communication, finally had to get my money back from PayPal who thankfully decided in my favor, I will never use them again, Using Main Trading Company now

Sorry, I forgot the LLC at the end. AES was a great ham store but unfortunately now gone. This is Amateur Radio Supply LLC. A play on the goodwill of the original ham store name.

OH !   MY BAD!   I was thinking of Amateur Electronic  Supply when reading your Amateur RAdio Supply  in my previous responses.   Boy,  I sure wish this website would allow original posters like me to go back and delete when we inadvertently post erroneous material.  sorry ....

Hm.. my experience has been just the opposite.  They are always calling to let me know about my order, respond well, I just canceled and order that they advised was on back order with a simple phone call.  Great communications, great guys.

I have always had excellent experiences with HRO. The last item I purchased on-line was on back order and I was aware that it was. The next day after placing my order the manager from the Virginia store called me to explain that it was in back order and when to expect it. You cannot get better service than that.
