Anyone else have an issue with this site freezing when viewing on iPhone? Any tips to cure it?

Thank Al, KD9RDQ

Working OK here on iPhone.

Is it still happening?

What browser are you using?

In cases like this it's always best to, #1, try a different browser or, #2, a different platform.
My guess is the site will be fine elsewhere.

If you continue on Safari, I can only suggest you clear the browser history/cache and/or restart the phone.

Hope that helps.

Yeah it works fine on the iPad. I’ll try clearing the cache and a different browser if that doesn’t help. Thanks for the ideas.

Welp, I cleared the cache and installed fire fox and both browsers have the same issue. I don’t really want to do a factory reset on my phone so I guess I’ll have to just deal with it for now.

Does it matter if you run on data vs WiFi?

No, it seems to persist on both data and WiFi. Could there be an element of the page that isn’t loading properly and causing the hang up? Seems odd that it would happen on two different browsers.

I disabled java, cleared the cache and restarted the phone again, that didn’t help. Also I noticed that the progress bar never goes away like something is trying to load but can’t for some reason? I noticed under safari settings a list of “experimental” settings. Could there be something in there that may help? Any idea what to look for?

Thanks, KD9RDQ

Ps. N2MG, I took some screenshots of the Experimental settings. I can send them to you if you like?

Sorry, I don’t have any knowledge of that.  Not really a Safari user.  Only under duress. LOL

Are those things enabled? Can you disable?

I would boot the phone into Safe mode.
If the issue clears up in Safe mode, a third party app, or other tweak is causing the problem.

Safari could be at issue. For instance, I use DX Maps to keep watch for E-Skip on the iPhone. But the site does not render very good on Safari, but works perfectly on Firefox.  You can install Firefox on the iPhone and use that instead.

Some are enabled some are not. I will mess around with them and see if I can figure out what they do.
