The proper pair of ears to determine fidelity of the reproduction of your voice is any pair but your own ears and mind.
1.  Set all the transmitter audio controls where you normally do for operating in a competitive phone contest.
2.  Record your voice as heard by a remote receiver.
3.  Ask a friend with whom you talk regularly on-the-air to judge what's good and bad about your sound.
Tweak adjustments and repeat to optimize your "Contesting" sound.

If you decide to also have a relaxed acoustic image for ragchews, run the entire process again for your "Ragchew" sound.

I appreciate the advice.

I don't contest.

I have no idea what a relaxed acoustic image for ragchews means.

I have asked people I talk to how I sound and tweaked it until it was great.

One thing I have learned over the years.  Not everyone has a proper pair of ears.

Again thank you for the advice.
