Can't update email preference

Hello, I am trying to send an email to a user regarding a classified ad they have but I don't appear to be getting out or they are not able to send me an email. I checked my account settings and sure enough the option to receive email from other users in unchecked. I tested this by sending a message from the classified ad to an alternate email not listed on my eHam account and I was able to receive that test email from myself via the eHam "Send Message" button.

I tried to update the "Allow users to email me" option from the Profile>Modify Profile>Account Settings page. However when I input my password and click "Change Profile" I get an error message saying the password entered is not correct. However it is the same password I used to log into eHam. I did change my password as well to make sure nothing was wrong there. I was successful at changing the password and logged back into the main eHam site with no problem but I still get the same error message when I try to change the "Allow users to email me" setting.

Any advice?

Well that sucks. The radio I have been trying to find for months and that was less than an hour away from me sold and I couldn't get in touch with the seller because of this ridiculous BS. I've been emailing site support for the past 18 hours with no response. FML.

The "Allow users to email me" is for the forums (which is a kind of independent add-on to the site and is NOT for the use of the Classifieds.

Classifieds uses the email address as entered in your main site profile (Click your callsign, then "My Account")

We have run into trouble recently whereby some email providers have gotten very restrictive and are apparently blocking the mail sent from eHam. We are looking into why.
AOL, yahoo and gmail seem to be the worst.

How are users supposed to know that there is an email disconnect between the forums and classifieds? 

Is there any activity on the part of EHam to fix the bugs of this "upgrade"?  It's been a year and the same quirks have not gone away.
