Happy New Year!!
Anyone in their corporations' Amateur Radio Club??
Years ago, I was in HP's radio club, but it being focused in Palo Alto, and Silicon Valley, a lot of the club's activity focused on microwave stuff....and in Cali.   I was a field guy in NJ, so was not very involved!
Fast Forward, I find myself again....in an equally big corporations's ARC....again, centered in another state.  Although, this time not as much culture difference from NJ!

For myself, and others in the same situation...can you suggest things to do? Things you've done with your company radio club in the past?  I'm not (again) at corporate headquarters, but with covid......neither is anyone else!!!
The only thing I thought of, was perhaps a special event station for a company anniversary?  Not sure Field Day will happen this year, but that is always a possibility as well.
Any ideas??

Do you remember the bi-annual HP QSO Party? As an retiree of HP, I do. It was a casual QSO party with assigned preferred frequencies. I recall working many HP hams from California, Washington State, Colorado, and even Europe. The exchange was name and division IIRC. This might be one thing you could try to encourage. Also, at the Andover site, we ran a Field Day for many years, and made an attempt to contact other HP FD operations. There was also a one-time event for Dave Packard's 100th birthday.

Another thing you could do would be to start a newsletter that would attempt to encourage interactions between company hams.

And lastly, if you have 'critical mass' at you location, club meetings, license training and exam sessions are a possibility (with due respect to the pandemic).

Tony......Yes, I was on that many times.  There was a Colorado ham who was very active. I met him on an HP QSO party, and talked with him many times. I'd have to look at a log to remember his call. But...I do remember Steve, K1FO (K 1 FAR OUT) and still have one of his antennas behind the shed. I'm sure from Andover, you remember him!!
