I knew Bill Fisher, W4AN, as far back as the mid 90's when he created the AMPS Email reflector.
His death was very tragic if you knew the circumstances.

Bill wouldnt have put up with the phoney ID's on here as they are being used and he was also open to change. A genuine non ham is no problem unless they become troublesome trolls but now we have too many hams hiding behind anonymity and causing a lot too much dissent.

Time to stop it please.

If you knew Bill personally and think his original vision of this Website has been so distorted and poisoned by people like me or others over the years.   

Please take that up with the Webmaster. 

I think this is a great Website and even today Bill would be proud of it.

Great website that I visit every day.  Usually ignore the ones with no call but it would be nice if everyone was required to used their call sign.

Now that you mention it a lot of his phraseology is starting to sound more and more like KTN. Is he slipping up or just giving us hints? Sort of like a serial killer who wants to get caught..

Internet privacy is a major theme nowadays.  There are those that value their internet privacy for valid reasons.

Anonymous eHam IDs are not inherently indicative of being a troll.  Some are abused of course - but just as many trollers if not more use identifiable ID's.  Using an identifiable ID doesn't make content any more valid nor does an anonymous ID make content less valid.

Using a callsign/identifiable ID can open yourself up to all sorts of harassment by those that can choose to go to considerable lengths to take issue with your content.   
 
Who wants harassing forum posts, emails, and even telephone calls over something they posted on eHam?
