To be clear one does NOT click on "the $ amount" - one needs to click either on the Paypal part or the Debit/Credit card part.

I just discovered that my subscription ended in December.  I also just noticed that a thread started by me in the Miscellaneous forum was locked, and then vanished into thin air.  As the moderator, you certainly have every right to lock a thread, however, it is very disconcerting when one simply disappears.

I will be happy to donate a hundred dollars, as usual, but I do think it is the slightest bit unreasonable to ask that the moderator at least send a PM explaining why the thread was tossed in the bit bucket.  Like I said, locking a thread is entirely up to you as the moderator, I don't have any problem with that, but if I start a thread and you decide to ghost it, please have the decency to let me know why. 
Otherwise I have to assume that Eham doesn't have any respect for the hams who patronize the site, and that you don't want me on your site, or my money in the treasury.  If that is the case, please let me know and I won't bother you any further.

I don't normally respond to meta-questions about the forums but can you supply the topic of the thread?

I expect to find a thread that went completely off the rails and in order to dispense with the trouble efficiently, the entire thread was sent to the cornfield, rather than individual posts.  That's something we reluctantly do from time to time.

Yes, the thread was regarding COVID vaccine and the hope that we can resume hamfests when everyone is vaccinated.  I have noticed over the past year that several threads started by me were tossed in the bit bucket, no explanation given.  I'm just saying it would be a courtesy is all.

     I liked that forum about COVID that you started. It was rather interesting and I learned a few things from it. Sort of wish we could continue it here.
