Maybe it’s just a fact?
My stimulus check was scheduled to be mailed on the 6th and 13 days later, still no check. Didn’t receive a single piece of mail last week and nothing so far this week.

I haven't received mine either and it was mailed on the 6th as well.  The IRS website says it could take 3 to 4 weeks to receive them!  Wow, that is government efficiency.

Thanks for that information.
3-4 weeks? Maybe we should go back to the Pony Express.

Yes, I believe its just here in Maryland.  this was not to be meant a rant, just a heads up if anyone is selling or buying online and shipment has to go to Maryland.  Been waiting two weeks for an Icom 706 that was shipped 2-day Priority Mail.  Very Frustrating.  Still waiting on my Medicare Advantage cards and statement that I signed up for in November.

IRE: Not a rant. I spoke in jest.
It seems to be that when I send for something, (that I needed yesterday), there's a holiday involved and the wait goes on. Hi.

(Thank you Summit Racing!) FYI Summit Racing has a California warehouse.

Last I knew they had a store in Sparks, NV but didnt know about the warehouse.

Summit provided a lot for my flathead and Y Block builds over the years and they are also the money behind DX Engineering as the owner is NO8D.

At least one former "student" of mine works in their HQ.

Late night ham study sessions at the local 24h restaurants/coffee shops were always fun back then, particularly as the assorted drunks came staggering in for a fill-up of burgers and fries.

You guys are not unique! I had a letter posted to me from York on December 16: that's about 220miles away at most. It arrived in the first mail delivery we had that week on Jan 16. In the same delivery was a Christmas card form New Zealand posted on Dec 15 and another card from San Jose CA, posted on Dec 19.

Admittedly, my local sorting office was closed for two days for deep cleaning for CV19, but still....even with 35% of staff in isolation, one would have hoped for better. Or at least a special refund stamp! Plus a letter form the hospital making an appointment for me arrived  the day after the appointment - 13 days after posting!

Time was in the mid 1800s when there were three mail deliveries per day and two on Sundays….

I've been having fun watching the tracking on a media mail ebay buy of a heath manual that was ordered from a seller in VA Jan 1 and as of yesterday it's been to more states than are between VA and NH! Some states it's been to 2 different post offices. I'm thinking they must just move it along and let some other jurisdiction handle the loss on paper they must have with media mail stuff.
My wife and I used to have a good sized dvd etc type ebay store and media mail was used a lot....I can't imagine the negative reviews the poor sellers must be getting because of this.
And just checked and  my manual just arrived in nashua nh! Bet it's going to spend a few days getting farther away via manchester before getting to my po box.,... Patience young jedi......I say to meself.

Canada used to be famous for their postal strikes.

I was in Canada when those strikes were about.  Believe me you don't want that ever again.

Maybe this virus picks and chooses which services it affects.

In fairness, must say that my mail service hasn't been affected yet. Everything went reasonably well during the Christmas rush, and when GA was bombarded with political mail. The only problems I've had, and this occurred before COVID, is my mail being put in the wrong hamper at local distribution. Tracking would show "Out for delivery," and it wasn't delivered that day because the wrong carrier had it.
