St Louis, MO is another USPS trouble spot.

Myself and others have sent timely credit card payments to a credit card processor there via 1st class USPS.

But payments in many cases not received in 30+ days.   No doubt other bill payments delayed in other areas as well.  In some cases the card processors will not waive late fees for the known USPS delays even when payments postmarked well prior to due dates.  In some cases the payments would have had to been mailed before the statements were delivered to make delivery prior to/on due date.

The credit card & other companies are making big unjustified windfall profits in late fees & interest due to USPS.

They all suck. I've never had to file a claim with the post office, they may be slow but it eventually arrives in good shape.  UPS- United Parcel Smashers- may possibly damage your item but you probably will get it when they say you will. Now with FedEX, who the hell knows? They used to be best in my book but in the last year they delivered 5 packages of mine to the building next door, and one that should have been delivered next door was left on my porch.  Today, FedEx tracking said a package was delivered to me after losing it in Texas for 6 days. Problem is it was not delivered to my address. How do I know positively for sure? There would have been footprints in the 3 inches of snow on the sidewalk leading to my door...or the sidewalk building next door where they like to deliver my packages.  I'm FedUp with FedEX. But they all suck.

I sold a radio part on eBay and the USPS lost the package. The hoops I had to jump through I wouldn’t wish on anyone. The package actually disappeared from inside a Post Office. Eventually I got reimbursed but it took months.

The USPS is floundering!

Package mailed from Bronx, NY goes to New York center

Package is sent to Charleston, SC (20 miles from my home address)

Package is sent to Philadelphia

Package is sent back to Charleston

Package is sent to local PO

Package to be delivered today (hopefully)

Only took 13 days

And yet this is the same government that people want to entrust their health care to.  ::)

Pretty pathetic.  Mailed a payment to a chap in Florida from Texas first class mail, what is suppose to take 3-5 days tops is now 9 days later and not there.....well, back to electronic payments I suppose (i.e. PP, etc.).....

They should appoint a "Special Master" to investigate this situation.  ::)

The USPS is the most inefficient, slowest, unreliable shipping service. Rates keep rising, while service declines.  Followed closely by Fed X. If you want dependable, reliable service, go with the brown trucks.

Like they really will?  I have complained to the Post Master at the head office (forget where - not the local USPS outlet) about "delivered items" that were never delivered, filed complains, claims, still waiting on those ships to come to harbor....they are useless...not like they were years ago....totally inane

I have lost hope on the USPS in the past few years. Especially at my local office. When I go out to get my mail everyday I ask myself who’s mail will get today or who will get mine. I live in a neighborhood that uses cluster boxes, there are about 6 to 8 homes at each box location. The mail man has a hard time figuring out which box to put each homes mail in even though they are all clearly marked with an address. Plus we seem to have a different mailman every other day. I complained several times to the main 800 number and to my local office, it does no good at all.
Sad but true, USPS is going downhill fast.
Also, every time in go in to the PO to buy stamps the price has gone up again almost every month. They are 60 cents for one stamp now.
I have had bill payments that were late because I never received the bill in the mail, yes I still prefer to pay my bills the old fashioned paper way.

Yah,  I noticed that it is a 2021 posting. I just wanted to let everyone know that USPS is getting worse not better in the past year and a half.

Yesterday, I received a jury duty notice from CTs Jury Administration. It wasn't mine but for someone else about 30 miles away.  I scanned the front of the envelope and sent the the scan to the Jury Admin stating this was delivered to the wrong address just to alert them.  The returned the envelope back to USPS. I didn't have to do this but I did.

All about greed, no integrity and don't care.  I rarely use USPS unless I have to unfortunately.  Rates go up, they cut hours and services and can't read mail to deliver it correctly and frankly don't care if you receive it or not.  As they say, "not like the older days".  No pride.
