They are more polite and do a lot more for the country than hams.

Already 40 forums.

If everyone placed them on ignore. They'd be stuck talking amongst themselves, and eventually turn on each other.  8)

I could not agree more with Carl.

CB'ers keep the country fed, put gas in our cars, brings goods, products, and groceries to every one horse town in the country. Without all those nasty scum bag truckers with CB radios doing all the work and heavy lifting; us hams would go hungry siting at home hiding all day insulting those scum bags keeping the country alive and running.

Least us elitist hams can do is give them a place to make them feel unwelcome and abused.

It’s “eHam”. Besides, what would they talk about which would be of any interest, use or value to us? Conversely, they aren’t interested in the technical aspects so we have nothing to offer them either.

Why even suggest that? Do you have some reason?

I say go for it and give it a try, it might be interesting. If everyone doesn't like it after a short time, request the moderators to remove it like it was never even there. After all it is true what LJW said about them, think about it.

The uppittiness of some on this thread is just sickening.

What do CBers discuss that anyone here would like or need?  Maybe, just maybe, they would browse the rest of the forum and convert to the amateur service.

Maybe you'd like to experience the clean audio revolution some are experimenting with.  Positive peak stretchers, compressors and other goodies.

CB has expanded to be pretty much a technical experimentation zone.  Don't get me wrong, there are still the good buddies......  But few of the places I traveled have anything that will rival 3840 or the 2 meter zoos.  Or the 40 and 20 meter absolute ghettos.

Read the NEC?  I know of more than a few licensed electricians on 11 meters.  Tell ya what.  I've run a few 4.5 to 6 mw turbines offshore on oil rigs.

Or how about ICD705 SCIF design.  I work with those now.  Buildings for F35 avionics testing, F18 and other planes.  Guess we have something else in common, Carl.

It's no wonder a lot of CBers don't want to become licensed ham operators.  The AHole attitudes of what would we possibly want them around for are so exciting.

I guess LJW doesn't consider the contributions of hams who are, scientists, engineers, software developers, doctors, lawyers, teachers, managers of all types, astronauts, pilots, writers, and the list goes on.
LJW should get in his 16 wheeler and give out smokey reports and his 20. OK good buddy.

Most of the truck driving tizzies don't even play with silly "cb". nowadays.

They mostly concentrate on facebutt, twittle, and innernet porno...while awaiting word from headquarters telling them when they may go pee-pee.

Those must be real small turbines to only put out 4.5 to 6 milliwatts. That's what "mw" means.

Unless you just missed the shift key and they are really 4.5 to 6 megawatts. That would be "Mw", or "MW".

Seems like a small thing, until you realize there is a difference of 10^9 (1,000,000,000).

CB'ers keep the country fed, put gas in our cars, brings goods, products, and groceries to every one horse town in the country.

This is a true statement. Without trucks and their drivers, our lives would not nearly be as good.
Much respect to truck drivers. They truly are "essential workers".
