Trucking hams. Check in.
« on: February 20, 2021, 11:06:13 AM »

Hey Truckers.

Rumor has it that truck stops are shutting down in Texas and other places due to lack of power.  If you need help, please post here.  Maybe we can assist.  I can't imagine being 2000 miles from home, cold, and nearly out of fuel or food.

Without truckers, there would be no food, fuel, heating oil, propane, medicine, or most important, ham radios.

Can't guarantee we can help, but we can try.

Truckers are the lifeblood of America. Thanks to all out on the road!

Why would a Trucker ever need a ham for?

I think most truckers would spit in a hams face before asking for help. The way this forum and others  treats truckers and CB'ers is shameful. Unlike hams, truckers perform a service for the country with a lot more class.

There is nothing HAMs can do about the cold weather, other than stay at home and out of the way.
No need to ship cans of diesel fuel and food via UPS ground to any where in Texas.

The current temperature in Houston is currently 51 degrees.
Forecast for tomorrow is 71 degrees.

I saw a truck driver at a Pilot once...He had a beard and was wearing a night gown.

There are truckers and there are Super Truckers.  The one I saw at a LOVES had a long beard, sweat pants and a long black cape.  On the back of the cape in white letters said don't F with me.

Hey Truckers.

Like a Trucker is reading Eham.  Now that's funny.

Still no reports here about HAM saving the truckers in Texas during the winter weather event.

Now snowstorm Xylia has been terrorizing Arizona, Wyoming, Colorado, and Nebraska.

Any reports of HAM saving the truckers, or anyone else, during this crisis ?
