Hey!
I am searching with light and lantern for an accessory card with function for RS 232c interface to be able to connect a Pactor modem to an HF / SSB radio made by Ray 152E.
The radio is a Ray 152E marine radio. The radio is prepared and at the time they were sold there was an accessory regarding the RS 232c. It is a card that is connected to the existing card. From that card, the cable goes to a connector that is screwed to the chassis that is already prepared to be supplemented.
The card I am looking for is called CMH-741 or CMH-742 which is a sister card I think.
The radio is sold by Raytheon but is made by JRC radio and is supposed to be exactly the same as the JRC JSB-176 radio. It must also be the exact same card that is in the JRC JSB-135 radio.
By the way, my radio is completely faultless and in very good working condition. This card was sold as an accessory once upon a time for $ 140.
I myself am a beginner and thus completely ignorant of the subject. I have the radio today in the sailboat and want to be able to connect a modem for downloading Gribb files and email.
If there is anyone who knows if there is anyone who has such a short lying or alternatively knows any technically feasible solution to get that feature up and running I would be very happy and grateful. I can be reached by email goran@gtbyggschakt.se I am located in Sweden Stockholm.
Is interesting to read what all the skilled and knowledgeable write here.
Sorry if the language is not quite right but I use Google translate
