My "new" vintage 20M radio
« on: February 26, 2021, 05:39:36 AM »

I started this project during last winter and pretty much finished up by mid summer.  Still fiddle some from time to time.  13 tubes with 6JH8 sheet beam balanced modulator, 6146 final, 50 watts.  9 Mhz IF with Inrad 2.5 Khz filter.  TCXO oscillators.  I used water-slide decals for front and back panels.   Most parts came from my junk box but had to do much searching for slug-tuned coil forms, IF transformers, variable capacitors and trimmers.

WOW is that nice! congrats.

Sure looks better than something tossed all over the bench as often seen in old magazine photos or on Ebay.
