FOUND! Old contact from 59 years ago.
« on: February 26, 2021, 05:21:07 PM »

Got my first ham license at age 18, 1962.
Going thru my junk drawers in my garage, I found the old QSL card from that long-ago age.
Looked up the call signs and found one fellow who is still an active ham (WA6GRK).
I am writing to him now - - see if he wants his old QSL card back again.

See! Sometimes it pays off to be hoarder, ha, ha!

Since I first posted this, I found several other hams who are still on the active list.
All of them will get a surprise from me - - - their original QSL card.
This includes:

Mike Hurwitz, WA2NPS
Philip Kane, K2ASP
Ronald Tomchin, WA2ARO
Don Phillips, W2EFI, formerly W2IKR
Ken Lehmann, W1MEH
Jack Wilson W1QXX
And a dear, dear friend who mentored me in the early days of the hobby:
I was just 17 years of age - a poor boy in Brooklyn:
  Joseph Giovanelli, W2PVY.

Thanks for the fond memories, folks!

You are very lucky to find so many are still here with us. Although I don't share the same experience, I am happy for you  that you have.
And I am sure that many others who don't reply have the same sentiments.
