Site is running like a 3 legged horse?

Is anyone else having trouble with the site this morning? It took several minutes to post this. The site can take some time acknowledge a click on anything. Maybe the server needs a reboot?

I suspect they are tinkering with the code on the live site, which is a programming no-no, but hey, it's Eham, what do you expect?

The site was down for a while. When you really only have 2 real ham radio websites. eham and QRZ, I was concerned when I saw that eham was offline.  I just wish that eham and QRZ and other amateur radio sites would update their look and feel of their site. Most amateur radio websites look like something out of the early days of computers. No one uses animated GIFs anymore. Most modern websites use the wordpress model. No wonder younger people associate ham radio with older people. These sites should be able to be viewed on a handheld device. Spend a couple of dollars on an iphone and Android application developer and put a lot of this content to be accessed by a mobile device. Time to get with the times! This is 2021, not 1991. (The year the first world wide website went live)

My WAG is they are behind on rent and the host site is slowing tings down to remind them to pay rent or else.

Trolls and other troublemakers prefer VPN's. I see no reason for the bulk of users to need it.
