SPE Expert 1K & FT 450 Yaesue & Cable (From CW - MAN (Ebay)
« on: April 02, 2021, 12:54:36 PM »

Hello Fellow Ham Operators

I have the FT 450 Yaesue, and SPE Expert 1K Amplifier.

I purchase a cable from (CW-MAN on Ebay), and the cable is is  https://www.ebay.com/itm/3125788706...pAuJrjb0N-B7ONm12kHEnF9xUTOXykfRoCDhcQAvD_BwE

This cable actually fits into the "Tuner" not the linear connection in the back of the rig (FT 450)

the reason for this, it is only a 8 pin connector rather than 10, apparently the 10 pin cable are rare to obtain, and if you can get one expensive..

CW-MAN (Ebay), uses the "Tuner" connection to Key up the Amplifier when Transceiver Transmit...Simple enough, however, can anyone help me on what the settings are (For the FT 450)  to make the "Tuner" Connector, key up the amplifier?

I look forward to your responses (And Thank you in Advance)

Usually when you key up the radio, it will key up the amplifier via the cable. You should have to do nothing to the radio, other than plug in the cable and key it up.

You could try one of these cables, if you prefer...

Thanks for the response, I am probably a little to proactive! I don't have the cable yet ( Cable between FT 450 "Tuner" and the amplifier)

Maybe I have nothing to worry about..Next week, I will get this cable, and try it, maybe no need for any settings, in the FT 450...

Thanks again, for responding
