10 has been open pretty much every day for the past year or longer on ssb and cw to south america, carribean, central america, hawaii the cook islands, fiji and new zealand, even 29.6 fm to south america and the carribean has been active frequently.

There was Even some west africa tz4am in mali was in 559 on cw and an EA8, CANARY Island activity today also, but still no europe heard.

The problem is that after you have talked to most of the regulars on 10 for months on end that I spend 75% of my 10 meter operation just tuning around listening and posting to the dx cluster as opposed to talking but it's still fun to still hear Africa and the south pacific coming thru on 10 cw.

As usual, even during low SFI periods 10 meters is still useable on all modes.

I wonder how long it will be before cancel culture puts "Zulu" on the forbidden word/terminology list.

I made an 10m FT8 contact with New Zealand yesterday.  His SNR was +3.

JD1BMH on Ogasawara island was a nice catch on 28.072MHz  CW yesterday working across North and south america yesterday.

I discovered a fast way to get people off of FT8 on 28.074 MHz and move them over to CW without asking.

I simply slip down around 28.072MHz  on cw and call cq dx and eventually dx on FT8 will see you on their waterfall screens and move off of FT8, this worked with ZL1RQ last year and yesterday it worked with moving JD1BMH off of FT8 and onto CW.

Now I just need to see if I can get Joanna, 3d2zk to fall for this and see if she will move down to cw.

When the Dx stations FT8 tones are moving your meter beyond s7, I would say it's way past the time to move  over to CW or even SSB.

Also E51JD in the cook islands has been hanging out around 28.455 to 28.475 MHZ on SSB most days calling cq with a decent signal working across the US, Canada, Mexico, KP4 and South and Central America for the past 4 months.
