Solar Weather by Date
« on: April 19, 2021, 07:34:55 AM »

I realize that solar data varies constantly so it's like asking for the temperature today. Nevertheless, I would occasionally like to know the flux, A and K on and around a given date. Is there a resource available where historical solar info by date can be found?

Thanks for any assistance!

The source that I presently am using is the Space Weather Prediction Center at https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/

The planetary k indices with a present day number and 2-day look back is at
https://www.swpc.noaa.gov/products/planetary-k-index

My present work involves checking back more than a few days. So, I use
ftp://ftp.swpc.noaa.gov/pub/indices/old_indices/

Another site is https://www.sws.bom.gov.au/ but bear in mind their observations and reporting emphasize Australia and southern hemisphere.

73 and GL,

My thanks to both of you for your responses. I've been looking for this for a while.

73 and high solar flux to you!
