Football Officiating - On-Field Communications
« on: April 27, 2021, 08:45:28 AM »

I'm part of a HS-level officiating crew and am considering being control operator for a "micro-net" of 5-7 officials using an amateur simplex frequency for on-field, in-game crew coordination.  Comm would be at lowest acceptable power with an announcement pre-game start to inform (anyone able to monitor) what is happening; and another announcement closing the net at the end of the game.

Is there anything as regards operating etiquette that I've forgotten here?  Any other concerns I should have?  Thanks in advance for your responses!

If any of you  are being paid then it is a no-go.
Sounds like this is more of a GMRS type activity.

The OP annoyingly double posted this question. You may wish to see the greater number of responses under Elmers and then abandon this thread.

God runs electromagnetics on Monday, Wednesday and Friday by the wave theory and the devil runs it on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday by the Quantum theory.

Everyone involved would need to ID every 10 minutes.

Apologies for the annoyance.  I wasn't sure how active the forums were these days.  73
