Jeep Gladiator

Anyone have any experiences mounting a mobile in a Jeep Gladiator?

Not just where you mounted the radio in the cab but where and how you routed the coax to the antenna.
I thought I'd try to take advantage of any lessons learned already before I start making holes to accommodate an installation.

I know this may not be much help, but look at 4dorr wrangler installs.
they would close to the same.
Good luck on your install

"Not much help" ?  On the contrary my good man.  I have NO idea why I didn't think of that.  The models are practically twins.

Anyone know of where the coax was routed in a 4 door Wrangler?

I mounted my Comet VHF/UHF antenna using a COMET-NCG CK-3NMO on the front left fender. Works good there.

How / where did you route the coax?

The door hinge and left cowling .Where the two meet. You need to use that antenna cable because its small diameter for the first 12” let’s it fit in the space. I would send you a picture if I knew how.

The door doesn't crush the coax then?

No. Look at the Comet part number I gave you. It’s made to go into door and trunk areas.

I'll look it up, thanks.

I have a 2019 JL with automatic transmission.  If you have an auto transmission there should be an extra plastic plug in the firewall (where the clutch would go through) that you can use.

I had not noticed it but I will certainly be looking for it now, thanks.
